I haen’t posted to my weblog much in the last few weeks. Serious – I could have posted a lot more since I am official on holidays but I have been spending a bit of time preparing for some content that I will be delivering the first three days of this week.

Its not particularly difficult content but its in a format that I haven’t typically presented it before which means that I needed to produce a lot of slide decks as reference material (which I normally try to avoid).

The slide decks are all down now and I am pretty much prepared so I think tonight I will kick back and do some blogging about some of the things that have caught my interest during the break but haven’t been able to follow up on because I needed to focus on the production of this material. Stay tuned.

Just a follow up to this post. A deep scan showed that I have nothing to worry about – not even a false positive. Neat!

I’ve just downloaded and installed the Microsoft AntiSpyware BETA 1 thing from Microsoft. I completed an intelligent scan and found no spyware so now I am doing a deeper scan. I’ve never run anti-spyware before – never felt the need since I am extremely careful about not only what I install but who I get it from. I’ve always been fairly dubious about the anti-spyware companies anyway.

So far I am impressed, the product is simple enough to use and it doesn’t seem to be hitting my perf at all (other than when it is actually doing this deep scan). It’ll be interesting to see whether I actually pick up any spyware over the coming months while I am running it.
