Duplicated blog post?

January 9, 2006

Looks like someone “reusedmy blog post! The way I found out was that I did a Technorati search for all blog posts that link to my blog, it came up with this, and I didn’t notice my blog linked from the page so I brought up the source for the page and there was an empty anchor tag there.

Strange stuff! Now – if you look at the subtitle of the blog and compare it to mine, its even stranger!

Update: Joseph (in the comments) found three other instances of plagarized work on the blog in question.

Some (I’m willing to bet maybe all) of those blog posts are plagarized from elsewhere. I randomly selected the fairly distinctive phrase “and darkness covered the face of software development” from this post http://spaces.msn.com/members/madhu10949/Blog/cns!1pC9Ip28Y_rGIssAMeWZ7y-w!335.entry . Doing an exact word search in google returned only one result. Exactly the same post word-for-word. http://hackerslament.blogspot.com/2005/04/from-memory-management-to-garbage.html

And this one http://spaces.msn.com/members/madhu10949/Blog/cns!1pC9Ip28Y_rGIssAMeWZ7y-w!345.entry is stolen from DataGr…err..GridViewGirl Marcie’s site http://weblogs.asp.net/datagridgirl/archive/2005/10/25/428468.aspx

    This one http://spaces.msn.com/members/madhu10949/Blog/cns!1pC9Ip28Y_rGIssAMeWZ7y-w!263.entry

is stolen (with slight modification) from the secret geek http://secretgeek.net/aspcompat.asp

That’s 3 out of 3 postings that I checked that were plagarized…I’m off to bed.

Your tag line has been borrowed too – “life, family, technology and stuff”
