Coding Monsters and Software Villans

I just picked this link up from Google Blogoscoped. I think this whole concept of monsters and villans (don’t forget platform man) is really interesting. If you think of the fairytales that have been retold to children, they really started out as quite scary cautionary tales. I wonder if software development is now starting to grow some deep roots in society and we are starting to see these kinds of things come up as an automatic immune response to defend against bad software (software is now so important in our everyday lives).

4 Years Blogging, half a year off the bad behaviour.

Frank Arrigo has noted that he has been blogging over at MSDN for over four years. Congratulations Frank, its a big achievement. I’ve actually been blogging here at notgartner.com/notgartner.wordpress.com for about four years as well (actually, four years in November). But my blogging has been so slack lately that I’d argue that I should deduct half a year for bad behaviour

Hopefully life will settle down into a rhythm that is more compatible with blogging shortly. We shall see.
