Steve Smith’s Atlas Naming Game

Ah – its that time in the product live cycle where development teams at Microsoft are forced by the marketing folks to change something from a cool name like Atlas into something “on-brand” like “Web Rich Client Framework”. That isn’t what Atlas is going to be called but it could be unless you have your say.

Personally, I think that if you are going to make something to serve the Web 2.0 builders out there then it should sound Web 2.0ish – I was thinking AJAXR . . .

    Sad, very sad,
The (understandable) obsession with coming up names that they won’t get sued for always leads to choosing names that nobody else would want.

I think they should just call it Nigel.
