Follow-up to DasKeyboard….

Following the success of the DasKeyboard a new keyboard has just hit the market designed exclusively for the special needs of system administrators. Announcing the Sysop Keyboard!

The keyboard design came from years of research working with gorillas and other (direct) ancestors of the modern system administrator. The key arrangement allows the system administrator to reboot the server by rapidly bashing a clenched fist on the keyboard.

The keyboard isn’t expected to ship until Q2 2008, however you can pre-order now on Amazon. Following shortly after this release will be a purpose built Slashdot keyboard with special “Insightful”, “Funny” and “Me too!” buttons.

It still seems to be shy a couple of keys….

    The OH SHIT key…

The WHY WONT THIS STUPID SCRIPT RUN key…

and my personal favorite… the I KNOW I CRASHED BUT IT WASNT MY FAULT – BUT IF I WASNT CRASHED I COULD TELL MICROSOFT key

If you believe the pundits…. the pen is still mightier than the keyboard… I dunno …. the keyboard seems to smash into many more pieces than any pen I have ever had… providing a much more satisfying display of desctruction.

    +5 Insightful.

The Slashdot keyboard would also need to have “In soviet Russia…”, “1 2 3 Profit!”, “I wonder what a beowulf cluster of these would be like” and “Frist Post!” buttons to be useful.

Meanwhile, news of a Digg related keyboard was quickly burried when it was mentioned that it would come with a built-in Tazer to zap anyone duping stories or putting massive spoilers to a recently aired TV Show in a headline.
